TJR: Finally we caught up with you! You gotta be the busiest woman in South Florida

Laurie Flexx: (Laughing) I know right... Busy Busy Bee, but I'm here now and excited to get my story out there!!

TJR: Tell us about Las World Ent.

Laurie Flexx: I established Las World Entertainment in July 2010. I saw how  I could take the entertainment world to another level both here in the USA and internationally.

TJR: Why did you start your entertainment company?

Laurie Flexx: I started it because I I saw the need for a strong, independent woman like myself to bring something new to the entertainment game and I had a lot of ideas. I saw that there weren't enough women dominating the entertainment industry.

TJR: Did you find it hard being a woman working in the entertainment industry?

Laurie Flexx: No it wasn't hard for me because I'm loved by the community and they give me the respect I deserve and they supported me.

TJR: What's the biggest challenge you've faced with your entertainment company?

Laurie Flexx: I have to thank God that there haven't been any big challenges that I couldn't overcome in this industry.

TJR: We found out that along with Las World Ent you also have a few other ventures here in South Florida that you're affiliated with. Do you mind talking about them?

Laurie Flexx: I started Las World Entertainment in july 2010 with the push from my husband Fatboy him seeing that the entertainment industry is what I had the love for and in 2011 I purchased my first barbershop In The Cut Barbershop at 4304 N State Rd7 Lauderdale Lakes FL 33319. I am also know as the "Boss Lady" at one of South Florida's premier Gentelmen's Club, The Office in North Miami, FL. Since July 2010 I've had quite a few reggae events and since my barbershop opening I have had my 1st back 2 school drive and the second one coming up on Aug 18,2012 and I've had a few customer appreciation, and community driven events coming up in 2012. For example collecting can food for the needy, Thanksgiving dinner for the community and a toy drive.

TJR: Did you find it hard being a woman working in the entertainment industry?

Laurie Flexx: No it wasn't hard for me because I was loved by all in the community and they gave me the respect and they supported all my ventures

TJR: What's the biggest challenge you've faced with your entertainment company?

Laurie Flexx: I have to thank God that there haven't been any big challenges that I couldn't overcome in this industry.

TJR: You're company partnered up with Romeo Movements to celebrate their 16th Anniversary on the 28thof this month. How did that come about?

Laurie Flexx: I was at the grand opening of Safiya Shoetique back in January when Spriggy of Romeo Movements introduced himself and told me all that his company offered and I told him that I would use there services in the future. Seeing that Romeo Movements has been around for 16yrs and is well know here in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, West Palm Beach, Atlanta and New York that gave Spriggy,Romeo and I the the idea to celebrate Romeo Movements 16yrs Anniversary in style with a silver & white elegant affair, so that they can have all of there clients come together to show there appreciation at Celebration Ballroom on July 28,2012

TJR: Why did you want to partner up with them for this event?

Laurie Flexx: I wanted to be apart of this venture and do other events out of my norm and i thought why not start in the dancehall community with the guy that capture all the parties and is well know in the industry.

TJR: Some would say that you are one of the Biggest supporters in the Danchall partying scene. Would you agree?

Laurie Flexx: I surely do agree. I support as many of my fellow promoters events as I can even if I am tired I get an hour sleep and I'm gone again because they give me love and respect and they deserve the same. At times I will go to an event not personally knowing the promoter but a friend tells me about it and I say let me go support my sister or brother for their event.

TJR: What would you say is missing from the Dancehall community overall, if any?

Laurie Flexx: I would like to see promoters giving the lady artists and lady DJs more appreciation. I brought Lady Saw here in January 2012 and it was a blast at Bellas Palace. Look out for my celebrity birthday party coming in December with lots of surprises and more to come for 2013. As Las World Entertainment motto we say "We are taking over the world!"

TJR: What would you say you're company's going to do different from others?

Laurie Flexx: We are doing more family oriented events & giving back to the community.
